When Tragedy Hits Home

When Tragedy Hits Home

In Loving Memory of Shannel “Best” Rogers

When you are part of a team, after a while your team becomes close. After more than a decade, that team is most definitely your family. When one family member goes through a tragic loss – the rest of the team will do anything they can to help. A major role player on the Sting Team is Keith Best. He is Sting’s Head of Security, he’s our BST Trainer Extraordinaire, but most of all – he is our dear friend. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of taking Basic Security Training with Keith, have worked in the Security Industry with him, or even met him – you already know why we hold him so close in our Sting family.

This past Mother’s Day, Keith suffered the tragic loss of his daughter Shannel. No parent should ever have to go through this. We are heartbroken for our friend. In order to help with the Celebration of Life and hopefully help create a better a better future for Keith’s grandson TayShawn, we have created a GoFundMe. Please donate if you can – it would mean the world to us.

Domestic violence & abuse will deteriorate mental health. People who have experienced domestic violence or abuse are at a significantly higher risk of experiencing a range of mental health conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and thoughts of suicide. Please check on your friends and family. Hold them close.
