About this course

Indigenous Training to Employment Program Mission

Our mission is to provide quality training to individuals that lead to careers within the industry. Our programs are uniquely developed for the learners, the community and partners we work with. We focus on culture, essential skills, job readiness and give the tools for individuals to gain skills and confidence to wokr as security professionals in the security industry.

Requirements        
  •   Must be 18+ years of age (Alberta) and 19+ years of age (BC)
  •   Valid Driver’s License (Class 5 an asset)
  •   Bondable (Criminal Record Check)
  •   English Fluency (Good Communication Skills)
  •   Physically Fit
  •   Drug/Alcohol Testing (as required)
  •   Honest, Reliable and Dependable

Basic Security Training (BST)

TrainMyGuard.com, a division of SEGI, is offering a Basic Security Training (BST) training ONLINE and in the CLASSROOM in BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. This 40-hour course is mandatory for those wishing to become licensed Security Professionals. TrainMyGuard.com’s different provincial Basic Security Training courses exceed Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) standards.

Upon successful completion of our security training program, participants will be able to seek employment as a Security Guard, Loss Prevention Worker, Executive Security or Alarm Responder with the Security Industry.
